The Second Annual Prescott Valley Kinetic Sculpture Race

is On!

Where: Dirt lot west of the Prescott Valley Civic Center

(take Lakeshore off of Glassford Hill Rd), corner of Lakeshore and Civic Center Dr.

When: Saturday September 15, 2007

Racers assemble beginning at 8:30 AM

8:30 - 9:00 Racer registrations, course familiarization, safety checks

Coffee and muffins offered for purchase by Lonesome Valley Food and Wine

9:00 - 9:15 AM Judges familiarize themselves with entries, accept bribes

9:15 - 9:45 AM Entries introduce themselves and their entries to the audience through song and/or skit

9:45 - 10:00 AM Final adjustments and safety checks

10:00 AM The Race is ON!

1. Entries will navigate the dirt lot part of the course, which has been fortified with bumps and bogs, go overland across the concrete circle, and down to the labyrinth on the main lawn area.

2. There they will park at the labyrinth and the pilot or co-pilot shall navigate the labyrinth to retrieve the PVKSR stone in the center.

3. All entries MUST finish with a PVKSR stone and NO circum-navigating the labyrinth allowed! Judges will be watching.

4. After the labyrinth challenge, all racers will proceed back up across the concrete area and lawn to the finish line, accompanied by theme music from Persephone's Bicycle Boogie Band.

5. Judges will confer, scores will be tallied and winners announced.

6. A fun time will have been had by all!
